CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Town officials are looking askance at a potential sale of 35 acres to the state. Town Administrator Carl McKinney told the Select Board on Wednesday that the town had not been officially notified but he wanted to alert them of the possibility and that they would debate whether to recommend once that happened. McKinney said the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield had been bequeathed the 35 acres in Clarksburg State Park along Bald Mountain. MCLA Volleyball Reaches Conference Final| 10:41PM / Thursday, November 09, 2023 | | WORCESTER, Mass. -- Chloe Garber had a double-double Thursday to lead the MCLA volleyball team to a four-set win over Worcester State in the MASCAC semi-finals. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
