Women's Run, Community 5K Returns on Mother's DayCommunity submission,

 PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Berkshire Running Center and MountainOne are sponsoring the 45th running of the Women’s Running Race and Community 5K on Sunday at BCC. Historically held on Mother’s Day, this event makes the claim of being the longest held all female running event in the country. The winner of the $300 Berkshire Eagle grand prize was Christopher Fortier of Hoosac Valley High School for his handsewn 'Cliff the bull' costume. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Nearly 300 area high school students participated in this year's Teen Invitational at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The weekend exhibition was the 10th event and the first since 2019 because of the pandemic. This year, the invitational was held inside Building 6 next to the Jenny Holzer exhibit.  LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Members of DCR told the Mount Greylock Advisory Council that in most cases vehicles longer than 22 feet will no longer be allowed to traverse the roads to the summit. "I think overall everyone will be pleased with the way this came out, and it will fix a lot of problems for us," Mark Jester, mountain district manager for the state Department of Conservation and Recreation, said. The councilors at their last meeting had talked about concerns they had with school buses and other long vehicles navigating the tricky summit roads. ADAMS, Mass. — Graduates of Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School (BArT) who have completed their first year of college are invited to apply for the Julia Bowen Bridge to College Scholarship. The scholarship fund was established in 2017 to honor Julia Bowen, BArT's founding executive director. The scholarship was created by and is managed by the BART Foundation to provide financial assistance to select BArT alumni through their college career.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The community is rallying around Zowie Martin-Levesque, the McCann Technical School senior seriously burned in an accident at the school on Wednesday. A meal train has been set up for younger siblings and a raffle for a $500 gift certificate is being held by Hometown Tire Works to benefit the family. Martin-Levesque reportedly caught on fire while welding in the school's metal fabrication shop and suffered third-degree burns. The Williamstown teen was taken to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield and then by medical helicopter to another hospital 3 1/2 hours away.  NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The City Council on Tuesday referred traffic and pedestrian issues on historic Eagle Street to the mayor's office and a filed another one on artistic cross walks. Both issues had been raised last year by former Councilor Benjamin Lamb. The papers had been taken up by the Traffic Commission on April 13; Councilor Marie T.
