MCLA Receives $1M from the Executive Office of Health and Human Services 02:27PM / Thursday, June 22, 2023 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) has awarded the Massachusetts College Of Liberal Arts (MCLA) $1M to fund the College's new Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program. The grant will support the first two years of the program by supplementing its curriculum development and funding the cost of a simulation lab coordinator; nursing journals, textbooks, and testing software; and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) fees. North Adams' State Road Gets New Paving This Week02:36PM / Tuesday, June 20, 2023 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The road work — and traffic jams — on State Road will be over by next week. Warner Bros. Construction will begin paving Route 2 over a four-day period so motorists should be aware that delays and backups are likely. Work began on this section of the state highway between the Sacco Bridge and the Williamstown line about two weeks ago. The roadway was milled and will be paved as part of a $5.8 million state project that includes sections of Route 2 over Florida Mountain. The work is being federally funded.
