BRTA's Browse, Borrow, Board| 11:00AM / Thursday, November 02, 2023 | | PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA), in conjunction with the Boston Public Library, Massachusetts Library System, and Massachusetts Department of Transportation, has launched the "Browse, Borrow, Board" campaign. This partnership strives to promote literacy, local libraries, and public transportation. On the BRTA buses and at the Pittsfield Intermodal Center, signs will be placed that include a QR code to access the Boston Public Library, so customers can read while they ride. NBSA Fall Basketball League Title Games SetiBerkshires.com Sports, 09:37AM / Thursday, November 02, 2023 | | NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Championship matchups are set for the Northern Berkshire Sports Academy's fall basketball season. The title games are set for Sunday morning at Drury High School. In the A Division, the NBSA will play Giardina and Bresett PC at 9 a.m. Then, the Saboteurs will take on Adelson and Company in the B Division final. All four teams advanced with semi-final wins on Oct. 29 at the Armory. B Division Adelson and Company 66, NBSA 48 Jon Gregory scored 31 points to lead Adelson and Company. City Woman Wins Hometown Holidays Gift Basket |

Jonathan Secor had some help in pulling the winning ticket.
Congrats to Janet O'Neill of North Adams who won the big Hometown Holidays gift basket on Thursday. O'Neill won some $1,300 worth of gift certificates and merchandise.
The drawing could be entered by spending $50 downtown during the Thursday night Hometown Holiday events. Jonathan Secor of MCLA Gallery 51 said 62 people had entered the contest (including the editor of iBerkshires &mdash amazing how much cat toys cost nowadays).
