The National Weather Service in Albany, N.Y., has issued a winter weather advisory from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday for snow and gusty winds. The region could get between 3 and 6 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 35 mph, which will cause blowing and drifting of snow. This will particularly hit Northern Berkshire and western Windham County in Vermont. Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Cemetery Commission indicated it had no issues with the addition of so-called "green" burials at Southview Cemetery and referred the matter to the mayor's office. The decision came after a discussion on last Friday with representatives from the Cemetery Department and input from Nicholas Flynn of Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes. "The city has been approached about green burials, a true interest in having them happen," said Rosemari Dickinson, of the Cemetery Department. "And at this time we haven't done any. Vu will support creative advocacy in North Adams through Creative Sector Advocacy Week with MASSCreative, taking place March 2-6, 2026, as well as her opening lecture at noon on Feb. 12 at MCLA.  CLARKSBURG, Mass. — The state is shutting down the Red Mills Bridge on River Road for two months. Select Board Chair Daniel Haskins said he, Town Administrator Ronald Boucher and Road Foreman Kyle Hurlbut had a Zoom meeting a few weeks ago with the state Department of Transportation to express their concerns.
