 | Post 125 Juniors Win at West Springfield NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Owen KoaMaya went 2-for-2 and scored twice Friday to lead the North Adams Post 125 Juniors to a 13-5 win in the first game of an American Legion Baseball double-header at West Springfield.	 	Lucas Hamilton also had a pair of hits in an eight-hit attack for North Adams.	 	Mason Fierro and Emery Rotter split time on the mound.	 	Fierro struck out three in 4 and a third innings to earn the win.   NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — On Saturday, July 12 there will be a community contra dance.	 	North Berkshire Community Dance will hold its monthly contra dance with calling by Fern Bradley, and live music by local musicians.	 	All are welcome. Most people change partners for each dance throughout the evening.  | Clarksburg Makes First Payment on School Roof CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Town officials signed off on the first payment for the new school roof but declined to pull money from reserves for school flooring. 	 	The annual town meeting authorized a $500,000 borrowing and use of $113,371 from the school roof stabilization fund to remove and replace the aged school roof after it sprung a number of leaks this year. The bid for the project was $399,000 but officials wanted a buffer in case further damage was uncovered. 	 	The Select Board approved the first payment on Monday of $119,700 to roofing contractor D.J.  | North Adams Overpass Study Holding Community Event NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Route 2 Overpass Study will host its third community engagement event on Thursday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. 	 	This event, referred to as a Community Visioning Session, will take place in person under the tent in Courtyard A on the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art campus. 	 			The study is funded through a federal grant under the Reconnecting Communities Pilot Project.   	ADAMS, Mass. — The Berkshires' Academy for Advanced Musical Studies (BAAMS) Faculty Band is scheduled to perform a benefit concert on Wednesday, July 16, at Studio 9, located at The Porches' Inn. 	The concert aims to help offset the costs associated with the week-long Summer Jazz Band Day Camp. 	The performance also marks the five-year anniversary of BAAMS, a nonprofit organization.
