ADAMS, Mass. — PopCares will hold it's 9th Annual Chicken Dinner but the auction will be this year. 

 

With the COVID-19 pandemic, PopCares is making some changes to one of its annual fundraisers.

 

"While it would be easy to cancel this event, we have also heard from many of you that

you would like to help especially since we have had to cancel several of our other regular fundraising events," read a PopCares press release. "Our hope is that we can offer you an epic event that will include a variety of opportunities to show your support for PopCares."

 

The charity was founded by the family of William "Pop" St. Pierre, who died of cancer in 2012, both to memorialize his kindness and to help other families suffering from the disease.

 

This year's chicken dinner will be served up by the Bounti-Fare but instead of in-person dining, Bounti-Fare will run a drive through on Monday, Oct. 5.
