JOHNSON, Vt. -- Nine different Trailblazers scored goals this afternoon as the MCLA women's soccer team rolled to a 10-0 win over the NVU-Johnson Badgers Sunday in non league action.
The win was the first for MCLA this season as they're now 1-4 on the season. NVU-Johnson is 0-5.
Cetera Moore started the scoring in the 20th minute of play to give MCLA the early lead. Alyssa Porter converted her first collegiate marker in the 30th minute to extend the lead and when Caitlyn Maloney tallied in the 35th minute, it was 3-0 in favor of MCLA.
After halftime, MCLA exploded for seven more goals, including three in the opening five minutes of the half. Hannah Van de Water made it 4-0 after her first of the season and then Natalia Gerena and Moore connected just one minute apart to increase the lead to 6-0
Hoosac Valley graduate Claudia Bresett, Madeline Gibney, Carol Fagan, and Savanna Amaral each added goals in the rout.
The Trailblazers outshot the Badgers (0-5) by a margin of 24-1.
MCLA (1-4) is back in action on Tuesday when it heads to Bay Path for a non conference tilt.
