PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The physicians of Berkshire Orthopaedic Associates, an affiliate of Berkshire Health Systems, will be on hand, in collaboration with experts in rehabilitation and concussion care, for a free community event focusing on preventing sports injuries.
"We Know You Love Your Sport: Here's How You Can Stay Safe and Healthy" will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Country Club of Pittsfield. Specialists will discuss concussion management, knee injury prevention, and lower leg, ankle and foot injury prevention.
The program will feature doctors Kevin Mitts, Anthony Defelice, Jarod Goodrich, James Parkinson, Mark Sprague, and the two newest additions to the Berkshire Orthopaedics team, doctors Christina Kane and Ashley Miller. Dr. Alan Kulberg, the medical director of the BMC Concussion Evaluation & Rehabilitation Clinic, and physical therapists Tony DeMartino and Brian Duquette from BOA and Jessica Plumley from the Center for Rehabilitation at BMC, will also be on hand and presenting at the event.
