Tight races abound in the Berkshire Adult Baseball league, where just one game in the loss column separates the top three teams in the over-35 division and the top two teams in the 20-year-old division.

A key game in the 35s comes on Sunday in Lenox, where the first-place Berkshire Thunder (9-2) takes on the third-place Berkshire Bandits (7-3).

The division's second-place team, the Adams Aces (7-2) has two games in the next five days, playing Tunnel City at Alcombright Field on Wednesday and the Greenridge Gremlins at the Dalton Legion field on Sunday.

Last week in the 35-year-old division, Jarrett Bayliss threw a no-hitter to lead the Dalton Moneymakers past the Thunder, 1-0.

Bayliss struck out five and walked none. He also laid down a sacrifice bunt in the game-winning sixth-inning rally, which saw Mike Massery connect for a sacrifice fly that scored Jeff Aldrich.

Bayliss' gem was the third no-hitter in league history and the first in the 35-year-old division.

Dalton's win allowed the Bandits and Aces to each pick up ground.

Adams beat the North County Spiders, 15-0 behind Jeremy Broadwell's 3-for-4 day at the plate.

The Bandits topped Tunnel City, 13-3 as Corey Delisle recorded two hits and three RBIs.

In the 20-year-old division, BBA leads with a record of 9-2, but Cornerstone is just a game back in the loss column at 7-3.

Last week, BBA stumbled in a 3-0 loss to the Lenox Bulldogs.

Lenox's James Allentuck earned the shutout on the mound, allowing just four hits and striking out 10. Kyle Hopkins had two hits and an RBI in the win.

Cornerstone, meanwhile, split a double-header with the Housatonic Monsters, winning 8-2 and losing, 5-2.

In Game One, Tim Burns went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Cornerstone to victory. In Game Two, Nick Pow doubled in an eighth-inning rally for Housatonic.
