NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Brian Picone went 3-for-4 with a triple, and Matt Koperniak homered as the North Adams SteepleCats defeated Winnipesaukee, 9-4, on Sunday night at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Alex Gomes struck out nine in 5-1/3 innings of work on the mound to earn the win.

 

Picone drove in four runs,and leadoff man Andrew Pedone drew three walks and scored three times.

 

North Adams (15-7) goes to Upper Valley on Wednesday night.
