KEENE, N.H. -- Madison Jeffrey threw four innings of scoreless relief Tuesday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 4-3 win over Keene in 11 innings.
Jeffrey struck out five, walked two and allowed just one hit to improve to 2-0 on the season and keep his earned run average at 0.00 over four appearances.
Josh Loeffler drove in a pair of runs, and Tre Kirklin, who started the 11th inning on second base per the New England Collegiate Baseball League's new extra-innings rule, scored the winning run.
North Adams (9-4) is home on Wednesday at Joe Wolfe Field to face Sanford, Maine, at 6:30.
