ArtDoors is a program that engages young people in exploring the natural world and the creative world. Participants are introduced to local artists and outdoor enthusiasts who offer workshops and activities to build skills in various mediums of art and outdoor stewardship. By collaborating with cultural organizations, the City of North Adams, county wide initiatives, and state agencies, this program opens doors for young people to explore the intersection of art and nature and encourages youth to examine how this intersection influences their identity. 

This year, we partnering with UNITY Youth Programs!

Transportation and snacks are provided, but space is limited!

In 2017 ArtDoors received the highest national review ratings from the National Park Service along with Technical Assistance to build the program.

Join us on Saturday, August 25th, the evening BEFORE the Motorama Car Show, for a FREE concert in Noel Field featuring the The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow with opening acts by Quincy (Common Folk) and Connor Hennesey (Sounds & Tones).

We invite folk to cruise-in to Noel Field with those beautiful machines, sit back, grab a brew and food, and enjoy some killer tunes in North Adams on what we hope is a breath-taking summer night!

We're happy to announce that returning this year is Cruisin' New England with Paul Mennett, who will be filming at the concert & the show that will be featured on New England Sports Network.

JOIN US! The 22nd Annual Downtown Celebration will take over downtown North Adams on Wednesday, August 15 from 5:30 – 9 PM.  

RAIN DATE: Thursday, August 16th

This yearly street festiva/community block party brings thousands downtown to celebrate with food, shopping, entertainment and conversation.

The celebration will include numerous areas dedicated to family games and activities thanks to dozens of local nonprofits and churches. Children will also enjoy face painting, balloon animals, hula hoops, live music, magicians, and dancing performances!

There will be live music at several stages around the downtown, as well as, plenty of street food to keep you filled while you enjoy browsing dozens of vendors and learning more about your community organizations and businesses.

Enjoy performances by local dance and gymnastics studios. Meet MASS MoCA on Main St. under the marquee!

Musician Jaimeo Brown, performing with his ensemble, Transcendence, fuses jazz, hip-hop, and blues. Presented in confluence with Allison Janae Hamilton’s exhibition, Pitch, the evening will include Brown’s provocative piece Work Songs — which samples the sounds and music of unknown laborers. With songs of the jailhouse, the coal mine, and the gandy dancer, Brown argues that through music we can transcend oppression and the traditional constraints of creativity.
