To the Editor:
Well folks, this is the third communication that has been submitted raising the question of, why hasn't the return of the "Mill Children" depiction appearing on the pillars on Marshall been resurrected from the untimely paint over that was implemented by Mass MoCA?
We have been told a number of times that meetings and decisions were to occur in the attempt to bring the historic paintings back to life. Thus far, as this writer is concerned, no final meeting has taken place thus leaving the issue still unresolved. The city of North Adams needs to adopt the slogan "BRING OUR HISTORIC CHILDREN BACK, WE MISS THEM!"
PS: It would also be worthwhile for the city to work with local Eagle Street building owners in restoring a number of slowly disappearing historic signs in the downtown area.
