The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow produced a Nationally acclaimed Short Music Documentary which was accepted into 17 Film Festival across the country, and 5-time recipient of 'Best Short Documentary' Awards. The Documentary has lifted the message of collaborative music in Western Massachusetts to a national audience, and propelled the band into regional tours and showcases including supporting acts such as the Indigo Girls, The Felice Brothers, The Adam Ezra Group, Deertick,The Novel Ideas, house band performances at the New England Whiskey Festival and the Whiskey Washback at New York's Bowery Hotel three years running. The Treaty's boot stomping collective, 5-part lyrical stylings, and shared approach to folk music speaks to audiences young and old, with sing-a-long performances bringing people together in raw emotion and enjoyment. |

MASS MoCA opens the doors to its 250,000 sq. ft. of galleries free of charge, in its first Free Day since its critically hailed and award-winning expansion doubled the space for the museum’s visual arts exhibitions last May with long-term installations that include James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Louise Bourgeois, Jenny Holzer, Gunnar Schonbeck, and Robert Rauschenberg. Free Day visitors will experience pop-up gallery performances, art-making, and live music in our freight elevator, in addition to immersive installations by Turrell, Anderson’s two virtual reality experiences, and Schonbeck’s world of instruments (no experience required to play).
Capping off the night with a ticketed performance in the Hunter Center at 8pm, Wilco’s Mikael Jorgensen brings his collaborator, James Merle Thomas, performing as Quindar, to enliven the museum with solar landscapes and danceable songs.

Written by Steven Spielberg, the film stars Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Gar and Francoise Truffuant among others. Designated as “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”, the film entered the National Film Registry in 2007. Our goal from day one of the Team is that no student should have to turn down a spot on the Team for financial reasons, therefore, we are trying to raise enough money that the only fee coming from parents' pockets is necessary travel and hotel expenses. |

After traversing 5 continents and 20 countries with only a guitar and a backpack, Humbird returns home to sing songs from the edge of the world. Combining a wintry longing with the warmth of a familiar folktale, Humbird stretches traditional genres of folk and Americana to embrace the unexpected. This music invites a refreshing dissonance into the house, it leaves breadcrumbs along the path and reflects light back at the stars.

About Eliza Edens (Williamstown native):
Born to a gardener & a journalist who would blast The Beatles, Canned Heat, & Peter, Paul and Mary during car rides to-and-from their rural Massachusetts home, it’s fitting that Eliza Edens is a musician who takes an observational approach to the natural world around her. Combining the adventurous fingerpicking of The Tallest Man on Earth, the calm resolve of Laura Marling, and the aching pulse of Bon Iver, Eliza writes tightly wound songs with wistful lyrics and winding melodies that belong somewhere between your tumbledown front porch stoop and a hazy bar in the big city – and leave a little extra space to linger. She is a grantee of Club Passim's 2017 Iguana Music Fund and is currently crafting a debut record.

The Clark Art Institute’s “Looking and Lunching” program, which offers a closer look at an object in the Clark’s collection followed by a half-hour discussion, will be held. The program is free with gallery admission; arrive early to pre-order and purchase your meal or bring your own lunch.During this session, Senior Curator Esther Bell discusses the Clark’s newest acquisition, "Portrait of Achille Deban de Laborde" by the French portraitist Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet (1791–1834). The large oil painting of a young boy dressed in military regalia is a touching memorial to the sitter’s father, Baron Jean-Baptiste Deban de Laborde, who was killed at the battle of Wagram in 1809 when Achille was barely a year old.
