NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Becker College's Adrianna Dowdy scored on a baseline drive to the basket with 15 seconds left in overtime to rally the visiting Hawks past MCLA, 63-61m in non conference action Monday at the Amsler Campus Center.

Dowdy's bucket capped off a big game as she ended with 10 points and 19 rebounds in the win. Cassidy Harrison scored a game high 26 points for Becker (7-4 overall), including the game tying three pointer with 31 seconds left in regulation.

MCLA drops to 4-9 on the season and suffered their fifth straight loss.

After one quarter, Becker led 10-9, and eventually 13-9 before used a 17-1 spurt to pull ahead. The Trailblazers led comfortably at the half, 26-17, and at the end of the third quarter, 42-33, before the visitors began their rally. After MCLA's Courtney Pingelski scored early in the fourth, MCLA led by 11 points at 44-33. Dowdy and Harrison scored the next five points for Becker to cut it to 44-38 with still eight minutes left to play. The Hawks kept coming and after Harrison connected on another triple with just 3:24 left, they trailed just 49-48.

MCLA seemed to regain momentum as Mckenzie Robinson answered with a three and after a stop, Kayla Dupont scored in the lane putting MCLA back in front 54-48 with just 2:25 left, but Becker had one more run left in them.

Sarah Ware connected in the lane and made one of two free throws to cut it to three points setting up Harrison's heroics in the final minutes of regulation.  MCLA turned it over with a chance to win in regulation and Harrison's desparation triple was well short sending the game to OT.

In the OT, MCLA took an early two point edge after two Pingelski free throws, but Becker went on a 7-0 spurt to take control. Harrison's layup started the run and Katey Anderson's triple ended it with the Hawks holding a 61-56 edge with just 1:32 remaining. MCLA didn't quit as Pingelski completed an old fashioned three-point play pulling them within two, after a defensive stop, Kylah Langston drove the length of the floor to tie it up at 61 apiece.

That set up Dowdy for the final bucket. She received the ball in the low post and used a drop step to the baseline and scored easily with just 15 seconds remaining. MCLA had a chance to tie it, but Langston was denied by Sarah Ware with 9 seconds left. MCLA had one last chance but couldn't get a shot off giving the Hawks the win.

Erika Ryan paced MCLA with 14 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks off the bench. Gawron ended with 14 points as well, and also collected a double double with 11 boards. Mckenzie Robinson scored 13 points and had five assists.

MCLA was hurt by 24 turnovers and shot just 36 percent in the loss.
