The musical includes hits such as “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” “Hey Mickey,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Love Shack,” “Walking on Sunshine” and many more. Come sing along and feel nostalgic about you’re favorite 80’s hits!! |

Hosted by Melanie Glenn of Upstate Rubdown will be hosting a workshop on music business for DIY musicians. The workshop will be 2 hours with a mixture of lecture, group discussions, Q&A, and networking opportunities. This workshop will be shaped by the needs of the community. Melanie's here to help you out!
Bring a pen and paper!
Melanie has been a performing musician for over 6 years. From college bands she sang backup in and also played french horn in, to songwriting and co-leading a group. These days, Melanie plays with Upstate Rubdown, an unsigned self-run band that headlines large music festivals and concerts. She does the touring life while also balancing some trio and solo shows, voice lessons, and a part time job. It's all possible when you have the right tools and organization to make it all happen.
We'll start the workshop off by thinking of 2 aspects of music business you think you're excelling at and 2 aspects you'd like to work on. So brainstorm on that before the workshop if you get the chance. |

Although MCP is still on the hunt for a new home, we are excited to be presenting a series of staged readings with the help of our great friends at the North Adams Public Library this winter & spring!
Plays to be read in the series include "Tally's Folly" by Lanford Wilson (to be performed Jan. 11), "Race" by David Mamet (Mar. 15), and the female version of "The Odd Couple" (Apr. TBD).
Come DROP-IN on the 3rd floor of the NA library anytime between 5:30-7:30pm on Thurs. 12/14 to read. No need to bring a prepared monologue - auditioners will read scenes from the plays. Come when you're available within that time or plan to stay the whole time!
Actors of all experience levels and genders are invited to audition, and while most of the roles are open to actors of any ethnicity, two of the roles in "Race" are specifically written for Black/African-American actors. The characters in these plays are all adults, but interested high school & college students are welcome to audition as well! |

Visit the 19th century Brick Dwelling with a guide (tours at 11am and 1pm). Witness blacksmithing demonstrations on Saturdays. Shop for the holidays in Shaker Mercantile for hand-crafted goods you can’t find anywhere else, several made here at the Village. Visit the kids’ holiday craft drop-in workshops Saturdays 11-3. Enjoy warm food and drink at Seeds Market Cafe.
We have the picture-perfect backdrop for your family holiday photo. Come sit in our antique Shaker sleigh trimmed with holiday decorations in front of the famous Round Stone Barn. Be sure to visit our children’s holiday craft workshop. Saturdays between 11am-3pm beginning November 25 drop in and create a different craft each week. Warm up with complimentary cocoa.
