Join MCLA's Gallery 51 for the annual "99 Cent Affordable Art Show" on November 30, from 5pm-7pm. 

The “99 Cents Affordable Art Show” celebrates the artwork of local and regional artists and may include ceramics, jewelry, paintings, prints, book arts, photography, fibers and much more. All work will be priced between 99 cents and $99.99 and will be available to take home on the day of purchase. This is a perfect opportunity to get some of your holiday shopping done for the art-lover in your life! 

Please note that MCLA Gallery 51 will be closed Sunday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) and Monday, December 25 (Christmas Day). The gallery will reopen on Tuesday, December 26.

Our SNAPx2 Program will have a $15 maximum, but we will continue the doubling program with this cap while funding lasts.

Annual Downtown Tree Lighting
Join us as we celebrate the holiday season with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Downtown, North Adams! The rain date will be Friday, December 1st.

We'll kickoff the evening at the tree by the First Baptist Church at the top of Main Street with a few words of thanks from some familiar faces before hitting the switch and lighting up Main Street with thousands of twinkling lights.

Next our friends, the Drury High School Band, will lead Santa & Mrs. Claus to join us with festive holiday tunes to hand out goody bags for all the kids!
This also kicks off the holiday shopping season! Don't miss the great holiday deals and events happening at your favorite local retailers, restuarants and other local businesses!

Be part of a new figure drawing collective starting up at Makers’ Mill. Sessions will run every Monday and will focus on long poses, and include a warm up consisting of several short poses. We’ll be bringing in local models and a local, figure drawing instructor who will drop-in as available. Get in at the ground level to shape the direction this collective takes. Bring your own lap board, paper, pencils, and creative energy!

Celebrate the holiday season at Hancock Shaker Village. There’s magic in the air. Wreaths on doors. Twinkling lights illuminating the village. It reminds us of long-ago winter days filled with wonder. Delight in life’s simple gifts, and relax, play, shop, dine, make things, and make memories at the Village. Walk, ski, or snowshoe (weather permitting) our Farm & Forest Trail. Say hello to the baby cows and other heritage breeds that live in our barn. Visit the 19th century Brick Dwelling with a guide (tours at 11am and 1pm). Witness blacksmithing demonstrations on Saturdays. Shop for the holidays in Shaker Mercantile for hand-crafted goods you can’t find anywhere else, several made here at the Village. Visit the kids’ holiday craft drop-in workshops Saturdays 11-3. Enjoy warm food and drink at Seeds Market Cafe.

We have the picture-perfect backdrop for your family holiday photo. Come sit in our antique Shaker sleigh trimmed with holiday decorations in front of the famous Round Stone Barn. Be sure to visit our children’s holiday craft workshop. Saturdays between 11am-3pm beginning November 25 drop in and create a different craft each week. Warm up with complimentary cocoa.

VFW Post 9144 and the Clarksburg Fire Department will host the annual Christmas tree lighting. All are asked to bring a non perishable food item to be donated to the Friendship Center Food Pantry in North Adams.  Santa will be there courtesy of the fire department.
