NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Thomas Cook Sunday ran away with the championship at Greylock Federal's Fall Classic 5K.

 

Cook, 16, finished in 18 miknutes, 6 seconds to beat the field by 14 seconds in the annual precursuor to the Fall Foliage Parade.

 

Second place went to Brandon Williams, who finished in 18:20 and ahead of 11-year-old Ollie Swabey, who was third in 18:30.

 

The first woman across the finish line was Kari Davignon, who placed 16th overall in 23:12.

 

One hundred runners finished the event.
