LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Kevin Towle has been endorsed in his run for the state representative by former state Rep. Rosemary Sandlin.
Towle was an intern in the Agawam Democrat's office while in high school.
"I had many interns in my office during my many years in the State House, but by and large, Kevin was the youngest and the brightest. Kevin had a passion for all aspects of the duties and responsibilities that are required to be a successful state representative," Sandlin said in a release from the Towle campaign. "Kevin was and is trustworthy, confidential, and knowledgeable to what constituent service was paramount to the district. I'm proud to offer Kevin my endorsement."
The Lanesborough resident in running for the Democratic nomination for the 1st Berkshire District seat.
"I am deeply humbled and honored to have Rosemary's support. As an intern, I was able to watch and learn as Rosemary fought for the issues that were important to her district and she was a role model who consistently demonstrated an ability to go above and beyond for her constituents," Towle said. "I'm honored to consider her a mentor and a friend."
Sandlin served as state representative for the 3rd Hampden District from 2007-2011, representing Agawam, Southwick, and Granville.
