NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Hernen Sardinas of the Plymouth Pilgrims hit a leadoff home run in the top of the ninth Sunday to give the South All-Stars a 5-5 tie with the North in the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game at Joe Wolfe Field.
Colby Maiola of the Sanford Mainers went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead the North.
North Adams SteepleCats pitcher Blake Whitney got the start on the mound for the North, striking out two in one perfect inning.
The SteepleCats play their final home game of the season on Monday at 6:30 against the Valley Blue Sox.
