Join the community for the first free concert of the Windsor Lake summer concert series! Bring the family, beach chairs, blankets, and a positive vibe to this uplifting community-based concert!

Misty Blues is the oldest standing blues band in Berkshire County; performing since 1999. Misty Blues performs groovable original, classic and contemporary blues as well as blues infused funk, R&B and gospel. Founding members include lead singer, Gina Coleman, guitarist, Jason Webster, and bassist, Bill Patriquin. The band performing as a duet up to a full seven-piece group, which is rounded out by the musicianship of Ben Kohn, Rob Tatten, Jeff Dudizak and Aaron Dean.

These concerts combine great music with the beautiful natural backdrop of Windsor Lake. Pack a picnic, bring a chair or blanket, and let the sweet sounds of music and water carry you away on a warm summer night. Concessions are available at the lake, but people are welcome to bring their own food.Parking is free, and swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are allowed at the lake. All cancelations will be called by 3PM on the day of the concert. Rain Dates tbd.

Paint Your City is a public art workshop for young people ages 14-22. The workshop is split into three segments: an informational session for designing and implementing socially-conscious art in public spaces, a moderate walking tour of the public art in downtown North Adams, and an opportunity to create your own public art project! 

Participants will explore the possibilities of public art, understand the significance between artwork that is private and permanent versus public and temporary, spray-painting techniques, and personally contribute to North Adams’ public art landscape.

Join us for the sixth annual Seedling Swap on Saturday, June 3 from 10am-1pm at the H&R Block Plaza on Main Street, North Adams! All gardeners are invited to bring their extra seedlings to the event to exchange, but it is not required to bring a seedling to get a seedling.

In addition to gardeners, farmers and garden centers donate seedlings to the event. Everyone is welcome to exchange or take seedlings that others donate. There is also an opportunity to make a donation of any size to support Hoosac Harvest's work of subsidizing CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares for families with limited incomes. Power Point Presenter Wendy Champney, author of “The Forgotten Ledge of Fort Massachusetts”. Free at both state and local museums in the Park – Talk in Building 4; barracks room replica in Building 5A. View models by C.T. Plunkett fifth graders and learn what you can make. All 75 fifth graders from C.T. Plunkett school in Adams came to the barracks room replica at the North Adams Museum of History and Science and went to site of Fort earlier in school year.  Many different projects ensued, including four or five models which will be on display.

Be part of a new figure drawing collective starting up at Makers’ Mill. Sessions will run every Monday and will focus on long poses, and include a warm up consisting of several short poses. We’ll be bringing in local models and a local, figure drawing instructor who will drop-in as available. Get in at the ground level to shape the direction this collective takes. Bring your own lap board, paper, pencils, and creative energy!

Join Berkshire-based writer and musician Francesca Shanks for an hour-long ukulele crash course for all aspiring musicians. Prior ukulele experience not necessary.
