NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts recently recognized the achievements of six business administration students, when they were inducted into the Zeta Zeta chapter of the Delta Mu Delta national honor society on Saturday, April 22.

The new members of Delta Mu Delta are seniors Jordan R. Meredith, Brianne Murray O'Rourke, Brian Harper, Tyler V. Panetti and Liza Scranton and junior Nicole Hastry.

In addition, Daniel J. Trombley ’90, majority owner and manager of Alton and Westall Real Estate Agency in Williamstown, who serves as chair of the MCLA Foundation Board of Directors, was inducted as an honorary member of the organization.

"Dan is a true MCLA trailblazer," said Denise Richardello, MCLA executive vice president. "He is an extremely generous advocate of MCLA who cares deeply about the college and our students. His commitment to MCLA is evident in his leadership role as chair of the Foundation Board of Directors, where he tirelessly donates his time and resources to help raise funds for student scholarships and college initiatives.

"We are extremely grateful to Dan for all he has done for MCLA. He is well-deserving for this recognition to be inducted to Delta Mu Delta," Richardello added.

In addition to serving as chair of the MCLA Foundation Board of Directors, Trombley was its treasurer from 2012 to 2015. He has been a member of the board since 2009. A certified public accountant, he is the chief financial officer of LGI Holdings, LLC, in The Woodlands, Texas, a position he has held since 2004.

From 1995 to 2004, Trombley served as the controller and treasurer of Inland Management Corporation in Williamstown. Previously, he was a staff assistant and auditor for Adelson and Company, P.C., in Pittsfield, after working in corporate accounting for Profit Technology, Inc., and Labor Worlds of America in Boca Raton, Fla.

Zeta Zeta, the MCLA chapter of Delta Mu Delta, was chartered in 1992. Delta Mu Delta recognizes and rewards scholastic achievement in business subjects and promotes scholarship in training for business.
