CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Citizens have until Wednesday (tonight) at 8 p.m. to register to vote in the annual town meeting and election. 

 

Voter registration hours are being held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. at Town Hall.

 

The town election will be held on Tuesday, May 23, at the Senior Center on West Cross Road from noon to 7 p.m. Town meeting is Wednesday, May 24.  

 

The following returned nomination papers to have their names placed on the ballot:

 

Board of Selectman, two years: Carlyle C. Chesbro Jr

School Committee, three years: Laura D. Wood

Library trustee, three years: Linda J. Hurlbut

War Memorial trustee, three years: Joseph Bushika III

Tree warden, one year: Ernest F. Dix

Moderator, one year: Bryan H. Tanner

 

Three citizens have also stepped forward to run as write-ins for Planning Board. There are three vacant seats for one-, four- and five-year terms. They are Vincent King, Erin Scott and Gregory Vigna. 

 

There is still a seat on the Board of Health that is vacant.
