GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — One of the joys of traveling is creating enduring photographic images of the sights that fill you with wonder, delight, and surprise.

Learn how to capture even better images next time you travel with award-winning photographer Thaddeus Kubis in OLLI: The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Berkshire Community College's winter course, "Travel Photography for Everyone." No experience is necessary.

The class begins Wednesday, Jan. 25, and runs for four weekly sessions from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Berkshire Community College's South county Center, located at 343 Main St. in downtown Great Barrington.

Whichever media you use — film, digital, smartphone, tablet, GoPro, video or cameras — all will be covered and the outcome for you will be better travel- and location-based photography. In four intensive two-and-a-half-hour sessions, the class will cover understanding your destination and your equipment, the photographic golden hours, creative composition, taking notes (lots of notes!), the benefits of wandering, and how to tell and publish your story.

Course registration is only $45; register online or by phone with a credit card at 413-236-2190.

Kubis is trained as both a graphic designer and photographer. He brings elements of geometric imagery and graphic design to every photo he creates, and is an experienced photography instructor who has taught many classes for OLLI and other organizations.
