NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — State Rep. Gailanne Cariddi, D-North Adams, has scheduled a series of community meetings for January.
The community meetings, titled "There Ought to be a Law," will allow citizens to share ideas about local and district issues, state government, and legislation – particularly what laws should exist and what laws, if any, should be repealed.
"Many legislators across the country have hosted similar meetings and I felt that it was important to do the same here," Cariddi said in a statement. "These meetings will give members of the public the opportunity to share ideas."

• North Adams, Clarksburg, Florida
Friday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m.
MCLA, Room 310, Murdock Hall
• Adams, Cheshire
Monday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m.
Adams Town Hall
• Williamstown, New Ashford
Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m.
Williamstown Town Hall
Citizens are welcome to attend any session that is convenient for them, but discussion will primarily focus on issues relevant to the communities in which each session is being held.
