NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Just days before the start of open enrollment – when anyone without health insurance can sign up for coverage – the Massachusetts Health Connector is embarking on a one-day, statewide tour that includes a stop at Greylock Works on State Road starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The "Hidden Gems" tour is stopping by more than 15 locations around the state, highlighting interesting local standout places that the entire state should know about. While at the location, the Health Connector will talk about the hidden gems that can be found through the state health insurance exchange, including quality plans that can fit a family's needs – particularly in ConnectorCare, which offers low premiums and co-pays, and no deductibles, to those who qualify.

During Open Enrollment, current Health Connector members can shop for new coverage that could be more affordable or better meet their needs, and those without insurance can apply for coverage – often with subsidies making it more affordable.

The future of Greylock Works – a former mill turned Brownfield site – as a new home for events and food-based entrepreneurism that will feature regional and local products under one roof – makes it a hidden gem.

The Health Connector will be joined by local officials and representatives from Ecu-Health – a Navigator agency with trained staff ready to help people enroll into coverage – to help highlight Greylock Works and mark the start of Open Enrollment. Anyone needing help with enrollment should call Ecu-Health at 413-663-8711.
