NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Brandon Williams covered the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 3 seconds on Sunday to win the Greylock Federal 5K Fall Classic, part of North Adams’ Fall Foliage Festival.

 

Williams, 36, set a mile pace of 5 minutes, 48 seconds on the loop from Main Street, south down Curran Highway (Route 8) and back.

 

Thomas Cook, 15, placed second in 18:49. He was followed by 10-year-old Ollie Swabey in 18:59.

 

The first woman across the line was the fourth-place finisher overall, Amanda Chilson, who finished in 19:20.

 

The event drew more than 100 runners.
