HOLYOKE, Mass. -- The Valley Blue Sox scored in the bottom of the 10th Thursday to beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 5-4, in game one of their best-of-three New England Collegiate Baseball League playoff series.

 

Edward Haus went 2-for-5 with an RBI, and C.J. Price and Noah Vaughan each went 2-for-4 for the SteepleCats.

 

Starter Ryan Tapp went six innings, surrendering two earned runs, for North Adams.

 

The SteepleCats host the Blue Sox on Friday at 6:30 in Game 2 of the series.
