Swistak Helps Lead Cages Baseball Club to Victory

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Jake Swistak stranded a runner at third base in the top of the ninth to secure a 6-5 win for the Cages Baseball Club under-22 team over the New England Roughnecks on Tuesday at Mount Greylock Regional School.
 
Swistak also went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at the plate for the Cages (8-13-2).
 
Ryan Wadsworth was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
 
The home team used four pitchers on the night. Starter Dom DeFelice lasted 4-⅓, allowing on run, before Matt Braman came on for 1-⅔ of scoreless relief. Frank Rickus lasted a pair of innings before Swistak came on to pick up the save.
 
The Cages faces the Roughnecks again on Wednesday evening.
