OTTAWA, Ontario -- The Capital City Reds scored in the bottom of the 11th inning to earn a 4-3 win over the Cages Baseball Club under-22 team on Friday.

 

Dan Flynn went 2-for-5 to account for two of the Cages’ six hits and drove in a pair of runs. Eric Leitch went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

 

Alex Carusotto allowed one earned run while striking out five batters in five innings of work. Dennis Cooney struck out two in two innings of hitless relief, and Kody Crosier ended up the hard-luck loser, allowing one run on two hits in 3-⅓ inning.

 

Cages is scheduled to play a double-header against Capital City on Saturday afternoon.
