Light refreshments will be served. "At The Maple Grove" written and directed by Christopher Zatta Feature film, running time 110 minutes, completed in 2014. Driven by a desire to live forever through cinema, aspiring filmmaker Nathaniel Heaton fuses his life into the narrative of a movie in this film-within-a-film. As a dreamer and romantic, Heaton escapes his estranged relationships, professional failures, and concerns of mortality by retreating more and more into the world of the movie that exists

in his imagination. . . a world where gangsters close in and a struggling old nightclub prepares for what may be its final show. Christopher Zatta is a writer/director, originally from New Jersey and currently living in Los Angeles. He formed the company King Fish Productions with his sister as a platform to write and direct independent material, beginning with the short film "Ambition Of Love," a neo-noir which was selected by director Werner Herzog for exhibition in his Rogue Film School Seminar. Christopher followed this up with his first feature length project, "At The Maple Grove," a film-within-a-film based on personal experiences and desires, and inspired by John Cassavetes, Bob Fosse and the French New Wave. -- "At The Maple Grove" Teaser Trailer: Vimeo or Youtube

This unclassifiable Oscar-nominated (Best Animated Feature, Best Song) film — a fantastical caper involving the Tour de France and the French Mafia — becomes a spectacular live event featuring dancing, singing, foley sound effects, and the original hot swing score performed live by its composer Benoît Charest and his 9-piece Le Terrible Orchestre de Belleville band. Beautiful, outrageous fun for the whole family.

What to Expect: One of the best events of the year! Smart, funny, beautiful film paired with its original, lively score — played live — by the film’s composer and his high-spirited orchestra.
