CLARKSBURG, Mass. -- Jake Tower covered the 5-kilometer course at Clarksburg State Forest in 21 minutes, 4 seconds Sunday morning to win the 15th annual Jocelyn E. LeClair Memorial Scholarship Race.

 

Several dozen runners and walkers braved the unseasonably cold weather to participate in the 5K run and one-mile fun run/walk.

 

The event raises funds to benefit scholarships for local high school students, ROPES camp program, the fourth-grade camp out at Greylock Elementary School and the summer camps of the Berkshire Family YMCA, which sponsored the event.

 

Audrey Witter was the first woman across the finish line, coming home in 23:04. The under-18 division was won by Alex Komok in 21:32.
