NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Partnership, a nonprofit whose mission is to enhance the economy of North Adams, has selected Valerie Hall as its new director.
"We are very pleased to announce this appointment," said John DeRosa, the CEO of the North Adams Partnership. "Valerie’s background in working with the Northern Berkshire community combined with her project management experience will help the Partnership grow economic opportunities in North Adams."
Hall and her family have enjoyed living in the Northern Berkshires for 14 years. She has been devoted to working with local schools in many capacities, including serving five years on the Williamstown Elementary School Committee, the last two as the chair. She has earned degrees in aerospace engineering and systems engineering and previously worked on spacecraft orbit analysis and aircraft preliminary design.
"I look forward to continuing to serve my community in this new capacity," Hall said. "North Adams has projects in many stages of development right now. I am eager to work with the new ventures that the North Adams Partnership has been growing, particularly supporting revitalizing mill buildings and promoting local businesses through our Signage and Wayfinding project. "
