NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Former St. Joseph Central School standout Taverick "Tank" Roberson scored 36 points, including 26 in the second half, to lead Pine Manor to a 107-102 win over MCLA on Tuesday night.

Roberson, who last month was named the Association of Division III Independents men's basketball Player of the Week, went 14-for-22 from the field, passed out five assists and had three steals.

His St. Joe teammate Joe Wiggins scored 24 poins to lead the Trailblazers (6-18). Paul Maurice scored 19, including five 3-pointers, for MCLA.

With 4:00 minutes remaining the score was tied at 90-90.  From that point forward, there were eight lead changes and one tie.  Pine Manor took the lead when Johnathan Higgenboth drilled his only 3-pointer of the game with 1:50 remaining to make it 102-100. Careem Kirksey answered with a pair of free throws to tie the game for the last time, and then it was all Roberson.

He drove the lane on the next possession and banked it home making it 104-102 with 1:12 left. MCLA came up empty on two straight possessions and then were forced to foul. PMC's Ellis Reid make two key freebies with 20 ticks left pushing the lead to four points. A missed three pointer by Khalil Paul all but ended MCLA's chances and Roberson hit one of two at the stripe to seal it.

Aside from Roberson's big night, Curtis Hyman ended with a double double effort of 14 points and 15 rebounds.

For MCLA, Joe Wiggins led the Trailblazers with 24 points on 11-21 shooting.  He added 6 boards and 3 steals.  Paul Maurice added 19 points including draining 5 three pointers.  Adam Conquest had his second consecutive double double notching 12 points and 15 rebounds.  He added 3 blocked shots.  Ki-Shawn Monroe had a solid floor game amassing 9 points and 9 assists.

MCLA will celebrate senior day on Saturday when it hosts Bridgewater State in the regular season finale at 3 p.m.
