FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - The Framingham State women's basketball team held visiting MCLA to just 21 percent shooting as they handed the Trailblazers a 53-40 setback in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon.
Monta Connolly paced the Rams (10-5, 3-1) with a game best 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Alycia Rackliffe added 13 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocks in the win. Quinn O'Connell came off the bench to score 10 points.
Katrina Mattera scored 12 points, and Kayla Hotaling grabbed 15 rebounds for MCLA (9-6, 1-3).
The Trailblazers will return home on Wednesday night when they host Fitchburg State at 5:30 p.m. in the Amsler Campus Center.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Framingham State's Daniel Gould tallied 27 points on 5-6 shooting from beyond the arc in leading the Rams past the MCLA men's basketball team, 79-57.
Gould was outstanding as he went 8-11 from the floor for the Rams (4-11, 1-3 MASCAC). Bertholyn Alexandre tallied a double double of 12 points and 14 rebounds for Framingham as well.
Khalil Paul scored 12 for MCLA (4-11, 0-4).
The Trailblazers return home on Wednesday when they host Fitchburg State at 7:30 p.m.
