North Adams Happenings: January 6 - 12
Brought to you by the MCLA Berkshire Cultural Resource Center
and the North Adams Office of Tourism & Community Events

Congratulations!

We are thrilled to announce the 2016 Levitt AMP Grant Awards winners. Each made a compelling case for how the Levitt AMP Music Series will activate a public space and strengthen the social and economic fibers of their communities," says Sharon Yazowski, Executive Director of the Levitt Foundation. "As North Adams’ new main public park, the soon-to-be re-launched Colegrove Park will be an ideal setting for the Levitt AMP North Adams Music Series, bringing the community together and creating a welcoming destination for all to enjoy."

Hooray! Thank you all for voting! We're thrilled to bring a new 10-week music series to Colegrove Park. Stay tuned for more updates as we plan (& launch) Levitt AMP [North Adams] this summer/fall.

Matt Lorenz -- known as The Suitcase Junket -- is a one man band who crafts and hones his songs. He plays up to four instruments at a time with his feet, arranging unique objects around himself so that he's a singer, guitarist, drummer and percussionist all at once. With tinges of Tom Waits and Bob Dylan evident in his vocal styling, his singing voice is both guttural and hummingbird nectar-sweet. The overall energy and vibrancy he injects into his music is a force of nature.
