NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Waubeeka Golf Links and MCLA won a couple of nail-biters in the men's league of the John Giorgi Summer Basketball League on Sunday evening.

 

In Game One, Justin Daigle scored 17 points to lead Waubeeka to a 56-55 win over Moonlight Diner.

 

Tom Suski and Brandon Davis scored 14 and 10, respectively to back up Daigle.

 

Tank Roberson had a game-high 27 points and seven rebounds for Moonight.

 

In the nightcap, Dashawm Hamlet scored 27 as MCLA edged Dagnoli/JBC, 75-73.

 

Hamlet grabbed seven rebounds, as did Khalil Paul, who scored 18. Joe Wiggins added 15, and Merle Darling had 10 for MCLA.

 

For JBC, Lawrence Carrier had a game-high 28 to go with nine boards.

 

Sedal Jones and Keiland Cross scored 17 and 15, respecively, in the loss.

 

Play continues Monday with two games scheduled for 6:30 at Noel Field.
