NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — With the closing of the North Adams city office of tourism on Main Street, volunteers are especially needed for the North Adams Tourist Booth (Union Street at Windsor Mill).

The city is looking for people who know North Adams and the surrounding area and like to talk to people. The volunteers are ambassadors for our area. Often the tourist booth is the first place visitors arriving in the area or just passing through stop.

The volunteers give directions to known spots and so many times are asked for suggestions for places to eat, hike, walk, picnic, shop and more while they are in the area.

Those interested in being either a weekly regular volunteer or just filling in whenever possible, contact kathykeeser@gmail.com or call 413-664-4006.
