NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ Berkshire Cultural Resource Center presents "Broadway’s Next H!t Musical (BNHM)" as the first performance of  MCLA Presents! “The ReWind Season” on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the MCLA Church Street Center’s Eleanor Furst Roberts Auditorium.

"Broadway’s Next H!T Musical (BNHM)" uses audience participation to create a brand-new, fully improvised musical comedy, where every lyric, melody and jazz hand is made up on the spot. Master improvisers gather made-up, hit song suggestions from the audience and create a spontaneous evening of music, humor and laughter. The audience votes for its favorite song and watches as the cast turns it into a full-blown, improvised musical - complete with memorable characters, witty dialogue and plot twists galore.

BNHM has been seen recently at The Triad, Tribeca Film Festival and the New York Musical Theater Festival, among many others.

Under the direction of improv veterans Rob Schiffman and Deb Rabbai, TheaterWeek hailed the show as “brilliant” and The New York Post called Broadway’s Next H!T Musical “remarkable.” TimeOut New York called Broadway’s Next H!t Musical, “A musical of, for and by the people... That’s entertainment!”

Berkshire audiences first had the opportunity to see Broadway’s Next H!t Musical perform as part of MCLA Presents! 2012-2013 season. MCLA students again had the opportunity to see BNHM perform in New York City as part of the annual trip to the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) conference.

“Students and neighbors alike had tears rolling down their eyes from laughing so hard,” said Jonathan Secor, director of MCLA’s Berkshire Cultural Resource Center.

Admission to MCLA Presents! performances are $10 for general admission. Tickets for MCLA alumni are $8, $5 for staff and faculty, and members and students are free.

Tickets may be reserved by calling MCLA Presents! at 413-662-5204. For more information, call 413-664-8718, or go to http://www.mcla.edu/presents.
