Zachary Donat Remillard, son of Scott and Denise Remillard Majored with honors in chemistry. Was elected to the scientific honorary society Sigma Xi and was a Class of 1960 Scholar in chemistry. He won the Frank C. Goodrich, Class of 1945, Award for excellence in chemistry research and gave the top oral presentation at the 2012 American Chemical Society Connecticut Valley Section Undergraduate Symposium. He also was a member of the club volleyball team and participated in Science for Kids.

He also founded and is president of the Afghan Youth Initiative.
