|North Adams Schools Set Opening Day 2017|

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —
Elementary and high school students in the North Adams Public Schools in Grades K-8, and Drury students newly transferring from another school, will begin school on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017.
On Friday, Sept. 1, all students in kindergarten through grade twelve will attend. Both Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 are full days of school.
Breakfast and lunch will be served at all schools starting on Aug. 31. One breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge. Additional meals may be purchased for a fee. You may contact Cory Nicholas, food service director, at 413-776-1631 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Cancellations are listed on television on Channels 6, 10, and 13, and broadcast on the radio at WBEC FM 95.9, WUPE FM 100.1 and AM 1110, WNAW AM 1230, WBRK AM 1340 and FM 101.7. They are also posted on the district's website www.napsk12.org as well as on www.iberkshires.com and www.facebook.com/NAPSK12 and on Twitter at NAPublicSchools@TheNorthAdamsPS
Additionally, families are contacted via School Messenger. The district encourages families to provide a second number for School Messenger in the event of an unscheduled early release. Please make sure your child’s school has your current telephone number(s) on file as well as an e-mail address. The school calendar is posted on the district website. On early release days, elementary schools are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. and students at the high school are released at 11:00 a.m.
All schools will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, to conduct school business, including the registration of new students.
