OAKVILLE, ONt. -- Paul Roeder and Panayiotis Constantopoulos led the Cages 14-and-under travel baseball team to a 16-1 win over Bloordale Bombers on Saturday at the Canada Classic in a game shortened to four innings.   Roeder had two hits, including a double, and drove in five runs. Constantopoulos drove in three runs on a triple and a single.   Oscar Low also doubled for the Cages.   "We were able to hit and run," Cages coach Rick Paris said. NEWPORT, R.I. -- The North Adams SteepleCats rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to topple the Newport Gulls on Friday night, 9-4, at Cardines Field.   The 'Cats broke a three-game losing streak in front of more than 2,000 fans, thanks in part to two big innings and a pair of bases loaded escapes.   Newport struck first in the bottom of the third, striking their only blow against starting pitcher Alex Pantuso (Slippery Rock). OAKVILLE, Ont. -- Oscar Low went 2-for-2 with a double and Landen Jamula tripled Friday to lead the Cages 14-and-under travel baseball team to a 10-0 win over the Burlington Bulls at the Canada Classic.   Jamula drove in three runs, and Charlie Gratton drove in a pair for Cages, which got two stolen bases apiece from Tyler Canata and Derek Paris.   Jack Cangelosi and Gratton combined on a five-hitter on the mound. PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Berkshire Force 14-and-under softball team this week edged the Greylock Thunder in the state championship tournament in a best-of-three series that featured three one-run games.     The Force 14U took Wednesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Greylock Thunder.    The game was tied at six with the Force batting in the bottom of the seventh when Taea Bramer laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.   Greylock scored five runs in the sixth inning, but the Force still managed to pull out the victory. HARTFORD, Vt. -- The North Adams SteepleCats saw a game called early for the second time in three days, losing, 11-0, to the Upper Valley Nighthawks at Maxfield Sports Complex in rain that lasted throughout most of the ballgame.   The game was called in the bottom of the fifth, with two outs in the frame.   Upper Valley scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, taking a lead they would not relinquish. The North Adams SteepleCats found themselves in an early hole, and were not able to recover in a 6-1 loss to the Sanford Mainers at Goodall Park on Tuesday night.   The Sanford win evened the season series after the SteepleCats won in walk-off fashion on Opening Night at Joe Wolfe Field. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The North Adams SteepleCats Monday walked off with a a 4-3 victory over the visiting Winnipesaukee Muskrats at Joe Wolfe Field.   The game featured an hour rain delay before first pitch, multiple misplayed balls due to the notoriously difficult lights at Joe Wolfe, and a ninth inning that was played in heavy rain.   After the game was pushed back an hour due to adverse weather in North Adams, the SteepleCats struck first with a run in the bottom of the first.
