Elinor Marie Zagorski, 79, of 58 Mohawk Forest Blvd. died Monday at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on Nov. 26, 1922, daughter of George H. and Gladys Palmer Whipple, she attended North Adams schools.
Mrs. Zagorski was employed by New England Telephone Co. for 15 years and, before her retirement in 1986, she was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for 20 years.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the Sprague Retirees.
Her husband, Sylvester "Cy" Zagorski, whom she married April 1, 1940, died Nov. 23, 1979.
She leaves three daughters, Mary Ann DeMarsico of Adams, Rose Marie Wuterich of Meriden, Conn., and Susan Walsh of Salem, N.H.; a sister, Margery Blair of Lady Lake, Fla.; a brother, George H. Whipple Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother are deceased: Gladys Elias, Rosemary Chapman and Robert Whipple.
Funeral on Wednesday, March 13, at 12:45 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 11:30 until the time of the funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or to St. Francis Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
