NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Dolores A. (Mancini) Bianco 88, of North Adams passed away on February 23, 2024. She was born in North Adams on October 11,1935, fifteen minutes after her twin sister, Gabriella, to the late Constance (Gigliotti) and David Mancini. Dolores called North Adams home for most of her life.

Dolores graduated from Vererini Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1953. Returning to North Adams, she was employed at Sprague until she married and relocated to Westfield, Massachusetts. There, she worked at Electrolux in West Springfield until she began to raise her three children. Upon returning to North Adams, Dolores was employed as a bookkeeper at Jarish Paper Box and later at the North Adams City Hall in the water department.

Dolores was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, where she proudly served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also volunteered in the kitchen during the Parish’s annual bazaar as well as braiding palms for their Easter celebrations. Dolores also made these palms for her family and friends.

Dolores loved spending time with her family including traveling to see her children and grandchildren in New Hampshire, Arizona, and New Jersey. She also enjoyed her trips to Cape Cod, Florida, California, and Connecticut. Dolores enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time in her backyard trimming bushes, planting flowers, and working around her Blessed Mother statue. However, her most favorite pastime was going to the casinos with her daughter Missy, her sister Gabriella, “adopted” daughter Lollie Rose, and sometimes by herself on the casino party bus. Dolores also took immense pride in taking care of her daughter’s dogs.

Dolores is survived by her three children, Maureen Lynch (Dennis) of Londonderry, NH, John “Jay” Parisien (Liz) of Turnersville, NJ, and Melissa Parisien and Coco, (Missy’s puppy who Dolores thought of as her grand puppy), of North Adams. Four grandchildren, Katherine and Scott Lynch and Justin and Jill Parisien who she loved very much. She is also survived by two of her sisters, Faith “Dolly” Trottier and her twin sister Gabriella Bond both of North Adams, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, former Mayor Joseph R. Bianco and Stanley Taskin and her two sisters, Gioia Zappone and Violet Torchia.

A celebration of life Mass will take place at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 70 Marshall Street in North Adams on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a visitation before the Mass at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home West Chapel, located at 521 West Main Street, North Adams from 8:30 to 10:30. Dolores will be laid to rest next to her mother at Southview Cemetery.
