Rose Righi, 96

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Rose Madeline (Moresi) Righi, 96, of North Adams, MA passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Williamstown Commons.



She was born in North Adams, MA on July 19, 1924, the daughter of Joseph Anthony Moresi and Lena Lillian (Fachini) Moresi. She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School. She was first employed by Sprague Electric. She then assisted her husband in the operation of Righi's Appliance Store. Rose later returned to Sprague Electric where she worked until her retirement.



She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a longtime active communicant of St. Joachim’s Church in Readsboro as a member of its St. Anne Society and a volunteer at church functions. Rose enjoyed gardening and reading at her beloved home in Readsboro, Vermont.



She was the widow of Virgil A. Righi who died on April 2, 2014. Virgil and Rose were married on June 28, 1947. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Carlinsky and her husband Mitchell of Setauket, NY and three sons; Thomas Righi and his partner, Frances Joan Libiszewski of Harwich, MA; James Righi and his wife, Debra of Stamford, VT and Wayne Righi of Readsboro, VT. She also leaves four grandchildren; Christopher Righi and his wife Kara, Bryan Carlinsky, Tracy Carlinsky and Jennifer Stevens and seven great grandchildren; Hunter, Kaleigh, twins- Wyatt and Wesley, Layla, Madilyn and Xiola; a brother- Robert Moresi and his wife, Janice of North Adams and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Moresi.



FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rose Righi will be celebrated on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in the Village Cemetery, Readsboro, VT. A calling hour AT THE CHURCH will be Saturday morning from 10-11 AM. The church will be fully sanitized and social distancing will be observed for the ceremonies. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Anne's Society or the Children of Mary in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
