Kenneth Adams Sr.,82

September 22, 2020

Kenneth Ralph Adams, Sr., 82, of North Adams, MA died on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Williamstown Commons. He was born in Bennington, VT on September 17, 1938 a son of the late Frank Adams and Dorothy (Baker) Adams. He attended schools in North Adams. Kenneth was a decorated veteran serving with both the US Army and the US Navy during the Korean War. He earned the rank of Private First Class.



Kenneth was the owner and operator of K & B Taxi Service serving all of Northern Berkshire. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as a good game of golf.



Kenneth married the former Ruth Mary King on November 7, 1964. She died on March 12, 2014. Survivors include his four sons; William Adams of Pownal, VT, Kenneth Adams and his wife, Heather of North Adams, Leonard Adams of Averill Park, NY, and Dennis Adams and his wife, Linda of North Adams. He also leaves a daughter, Cheryl Summer of TX and 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. He was predeceased by two sons, Keith Adams in 2007 and Fred King in 1999.



A private graveside service for immediate family only will be held at 1p.m. on October 6, 2020 in the Southview Cemetery in North Adams with military honors. So sorry to hear of Ken's passing. My late husband have known him for years. Before my husband passed in 2016 Ken and Wayne used to sit and talk about the "Good old days in the service." He will be truly missed visiting residents around Wheel Estates.
