Shirley Adams, 85

June 22, 2020

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Shirley Ann (Morse) Adams, 85, of North Adams, Mass., died on Monday, June 22, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center.



She was born in North Adams, Mass., on March 7, 1935, a daughter of Linwood Frederick and Frances Lydia (Lambert) Morse. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. 



Shirley was employed as a cashier at the former Sears department store at the Berkshire Mall. Before that she worked at Price Chopper and Howard Johnson's.



She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams. She enjoyed golf and bowling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.



She was the widow of Donald Roland Adams, who died on October 2, 2013. They were married September, 19, 1953.



Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa Lamont and her husband James of Michigan and Barbara Norcross and her husband Robert of Vermont; one son, Robert Adams and his wife Rebecca of Williamstown, Mass.; six grandchildren, Joshua, James, Kaitlin, Samantha, Jacob and Thane; four step-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Owen and Teigan; one sister, Marcia LeMay of Pittsfield; and nieces and nephews.



Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, George, Linwood and Clifford Morse; and a sister, Frances Sprague.



Funeral notice: Calling hours for Shirley Ann Adams will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST Chapel, 521 West Main Street, North Adams. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the local American Cancer Society
