Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

Dear Shirley, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Manny. He was such a good man, and I enjoyed working with him for many years in the Chemistry department at Williams. He was always patient with the students; with one memory I have from many years back, him having to extinguish an ether fire inadvertently started in lab by an unsuspecting (and then terrified) Organic Chemistry student.

He and I routinely swapped coupons and stories when he was working in Hodge Markgraf's research lab at Williams. He was fun and quick witted, and I am glad to have known him. He will be missed.

Dear Finkelstein family. I am so sorry to read of Manual's passing. He was a very kind man - He went out of his way to help the Starlight Stage Youth Theatre during our first and succeeding years when Andy was a member. Please know that the Burns family are thinking of you in your time of sorrow.
