Jean A. LeClair, 89

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Jean Ann (Sebastino) LeClair, 89, of North Adams, Mass., died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at North Adams Commons.



She was born in North Adams, Mass., on November 15, 1929, a daughter of John and Veronica (Charron) Sebastino. She attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1948. Jean was last employed by Hunter Outdoor Products and later worked part-time at the North Adams Transcript.



She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Jean enjoyed bingo and knitting. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.



She was the widow of John A. LeClair Sr., who died on July 6, 2006.  They were married on April 11, 1953.



Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Patenaude and her husband, Bruce, of North Adams and Linda Hoglund and her husband, Edward, of Merritt Island, Fla.; one son, John A. LeClair Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of North Adams; seven grandchildren, including Robert (Joanne) Patenaude, Mark (Amy) Patenaude, Scott (Cynthia) Patenaude, Kelsey LeClair, Katlyn (Jace) McCarthy, Adam Kudelka and Michelle (Philip) Kaneps; six great-grandchildren, including Molly, Brady, Emily, Ryan, Olivia and Elynore; two sisters, including Carol Gaffey of North Adams and Theresa Bechard of Westfield, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.



Her son, David A. LeClair, died January 4, 2018; and three sisters and one brother are deceased, including Angelina Giguere, Rita Brooks, Loretta Huttle and John Sebastino Jr.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Jean LeClair will be celebrated Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.  Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, Mass., on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Memorial donations May be made to POPCares in care of the funeral home.

Sue, I am so very sorry to hear about your moms passing. She was such a nice lady. Always loved hearing her stories when she came in to pay her oil bill, that she would walk down to pay.
